I B – SPANISH Ab Initio – Mr. Murray
COURSE DESCRIPTION
This IB course is designed for students to further their linguistic skills. This course focuses on communications through the use of the Spanish language. It aims to develop the four primary language skills; listening, speaking, reading, and writing through oral and written language. During the course, students will interact and become familiar with aspects of the everyday life and culture of the Spanish speaking world. This ensures that the appropriate emphasis is placed on communication.
This course is designed around three main areas; language, texts, and cultural awareness. Within language, special attention is given to the four primary language skills; accuracy and fluency, and the areas of vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and intonation.
